The Mission
The DGA's mission is to create a community driven musical experience for children as young as four focusing on all aspects of musical language, resulting in true fluency.
The Method
The repertoire in the Suzuki method is designed in such a way that the child can progress from music that is very simple, to very demanding, always with the goal of mastery. The student will take small incremental steps which lead to confidence and mastery on the instrument.
The Results
With dedication and discipline you and your child will develop the skills to enjoy the guitar and music for the rest of your lives. Beyond the increase in happiness and fun that accompanies playing music, studies have repeatedly shown the benefits to the mental and physical health of those who play an instrument.
The Founder
A native of Denver, Mike Hyland has a Bachelor's Degree in classical guitar and two Master's degrees in both Jazz Performance and K-8 Education. He's a certified Suzuki teacher. Hyland is a professionally gigging musician performing frequently throughout the Denver metro area and beyond.
